Pristine-light > Geneva The "Rade" in Geneva, and its most characteristic features: the "jet d'eau", and the banks in the background! The red and gold boat is a Geneva "Mouette" (mew), part of the (touristic) public transportation system.
Pristine-light > Two horses It become increasingly more common to find horses in the Jura mountain. People rent them to toursits, and for a reasonable price you can take a ride through the gentle landscape of this region.
Pristine-light > Dandelion field The "Dandelion" is the most characteristic flower of spring days in the meadows of the Jura mountains. It's golden color contrasts well with the green of the grass.
Pristine-light > Two farms These two farms are located in Les Bayards, a very small village in the Neuchatel canton. All of my brothers were borned in this village, and we still own a farm there. Another place close to my heart.
Pristine-light > Happy Cow Here is a typical view of Switzerland: a cow, happy, in a green field. This one, photographed in Les Bayards, was particularily nonchalent.
Pristine-light > Unwanted hosts A host of plant louse feasting on the stem of an unlucky plant, near the Leman Lake in Renen.
Pristine-light > Lady Bug Lady bugs are very common in May in this part of the world, they are a blessing since they eat all sorts of pest. As a matter of fact, people affectinately call them "Bete a Bon Dieu", i.e. Animal of god.
Pristine-light > Blue "Gentiane" This small flower is protected. It grows at medium altitudes (1000m), in this case at the Creux-du-Van. You can see this flower pictured on many Swiss products.
Pristine-light > The "Creux-du-Van" The Creux-du-Van ("hole of the void") was carved by the action of ancient glaciers that used to be in this valley of the Val-de-Travers. I used to work there as a waiter in a touristic Chalet.
Pristine-light > Stranded Sailing boat stranded on the Santa Cruz beach. It nows offer shade to weary beachers wanting to escape the burning sun. (Click on picture to enlarge)

Pristine-light > Rollercoster The Santa Cruz boardwalk is an amusement park lining the city beach. Many people come in the summer to enjoy the ride, such as did these falks on the rollercoster. (Click on picture to enlarge)

Pristine-light > Lupine in a meadow Lupine growing under oaks in a meadow at the Henry W. Coe State Park.
Pristine-light > Yellow mushrooms and dead sequoia This picture was taken at the Big Basin Redwood State Park, Northern California, in early March. The small (about 1 cm) mushrooms are growing on a decaying sequoia log. (Click on picture to enlarge)
