Fort San Lorenzo

The Spaniards realized the strategic importance of Panama early in the 16th century, and they established military outpost to allow for the transfer of gold and precious cargo from their Pacific fleet to their Atlantic fleet. The ruins of Fort San Lorenzo shown on this picture date back to the 16th century and were declared a world heritage by the UNESCO in 1983.

  • <H2><b>Dandelion field</b></H2> <P ALIGN=LEFT>The "Dandelion" is the most characteristic flower of spring days in the meadows of the Jura mountains. It's golden color contrasts well with the green of the grass.</P>
  • <H2><b>Two farms</b></H2> <P ALIGN=LEFT>These two farms are located in Les Bayards, a very small village in the Neuchatel canton. All of my brothers were borned in this village, and we still own a farm there. Another place close to my heart.</P>
  • <H2><b>Happy Cow</b></H2> <P ALIGN=LEFT>Here is a typical view of Switzerland: a cow, happy, in a green field. This one, photographed in Les Bayards, was particularily nonchalent.</P>
